Harvest Moon

Happy Harvest Moon! A “Harvest Moon” is the name for a full moon closest to the equinox. The moon will be exactly full at 11:19 p.m. EDT tonight. You can read more about the Harvest Moon here, on EarthSky.

Look for the moon in dim Pisces this evening, below the Great Square of Pegasus, and while you’re gazing at the moon with your kids, you can quiz them on some math problems! Bedtime Math has a moon-themed set of problems for tonight.
